My First Wedding Shower!!!

Since we have been engaged for quite some time, it has always kind of felt like the wedding was this thing that was really far away and it hasn’t felt all that real. All of that changed last weekend when I had my first wedding shower! On Mother’s Day of 2008 when we announced to Jason’s family that we were engaged, one of the first things that Jason’s cousin Jacie had said was that she couldn’t wait to throw me a wedding shower. The day finally arrived on September 5th. Jason’s aunt Kay, cousin Jacie, and Jacie’s daughter Adair planned an amazing wedding shower for me and it was so much fun!(The invite to the shower designed by Adair)

My mom’s cute wrapping job!

Jason had sent some pictures to his parents and his dad, Jack, surprised us by framing 4 pictures of the two of us over the years. Such a cool thing to have! Jacie, Adair, and Nicol planned a wedding shower game that had trivia questions about me. A special shout out to Sheila for her answer to the “Kellee’s Favorite Food” question…while it was technically not correct, her shouting out “Meat!” was hilarious to quite hilarious! We drank mimosas, ate the wonderful food that Kay had catered in and the beautiful fruit arrangement that Beth and Mia had sent, had great conversations with family and long-time friends, and opened presents from all of the amazingly generous people Jason and I have in our lives! Thank you to Kay, Jacie, and Adair for the amazing shower and everyone who was there and those that couldn’t make it…Jason and I are so lucky to have all of you in our lives!!! Can’t wait to celebrate with all of you at the wedding that, all of a sudden, doesn’t seem too far away!
