It is official! On Thursday we received a phone call from Kent at the Nomadic Press (who is AWESOME by the way) that our invitations were ready. Jason went and picked them up and I made the phone call to my sister, Mom, and Jason’s parents to sell them on the idea of how much fun it would be to have an “invitation putting together party!” Luckily, they played along with my idea and we all got together on Friday night at the Jaglo’s to put the invitations together. You may not think that it is such a big deal to put together invitations, but there are multiple steps involved in the process…put the address label on the main envelope (I was going to write out everyone’s name and address, but that idea got nixed as soon as I realized how many invitations were being sent,) put a return address label on the main envelope, put stamps on the main envelope, put an address label and stamp on the RSVP envelopes, number each of the RSVPs to correspond with who the invite is being sent to (just in case anyone forgets to write their name on the RSVP card…yes, a little neurotic, but pretty organized if I do say so myself,) put the invites together, seal the envelopes, and then go through each invite to make sure that everyone on the list had an invite (twice…sorry Cole!) Because we all worked as a well-oiled machine, we were able to go through the whole process in two short hours! And…there was only one small Bridezilla moment from me. After we had put everything together, sealed, and stamped everything we had 4 invitation stamps left, but only 2 RSVP stamps left. I will admit that I definitely sounded a little Bridezilla, especially over 88 cents worth of stamps, but I am still really confused about what happened to those two stamps. Seriously…stamps don’t just disappear! LOL!!!

Thank you for all the help Nicol, Mom, Chris, and Jack!!! And thanks to Chris for making us awesome chicken noodle soup for dinner (and for taking pictures for me!)
We considered stopping at the mailbox on our way home, but it was raining and dark and Jason and I were by ourselves. I know you are thinking, “uhhhh, so?” Well…I wanted to make sure that we memorexed the moment mailing out the invites like we did when we mailed out the Save the Dates, so we waited until Saturday to mail them out so Nicol could capture the moment for us!

Yeah yeah yeah for wedding invites!!! :)
