Nicol, Lesley, Madi, and I got together on Friday night and Lesley and I decided that we needed to go shopping the next morning, so I headed over to her house in the morning and we ran up to the Mall of America for a little bit. I headed home after I dropped her off to shower and get all my stuff together because we decided that we would get ready over at Lesley’s house. Nicol picked me up around 1:00 and we put everything in the car and headed over. The shower was supposed to start at 6:00, but we wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to relax and get ready. Around 2:45, I decided to get started on my hair…not because my hair takes 3 hours to do, but because I wanted to be able to “take breaks” in the getting ready process. Some might say that this is a really lazy way to get ready, but it turns out that it is a really good thing that I was being lazy because once I decided to my hair, I realized that I had left all of my makeup at my house! So…I had to drive all the way back from Lesley’s house in
Friends and family started arriving around 5:45 and there ended up being about 20-25 people there! We ate delicious food, drank delicious drinks (I always forget how much I like White Russians!), played the “Kellee Trivia Game,” opened amazing presents, and got to spend time talking to a bunch of the amazing people I am so fortunate to have in my life!
One of the gifts from my mom was one of the things that I had registered for, actually with her in mind. It is a Bundt cake pan shaped like a turkey and, as you can see in the picture, I think it is one of the funniest things I have ever seen! They actually come in all sorts of shapes and I think that I might make cakes in the shape of tacky things my new “thing.” I bet you can’t wait to invite me to a party now to see what kind of tacky shaped cake you will end up with!
Nicol ended up bringing me home around 1:30am and we called Jason when we got there to come out and help us bring everything inside…he was super thrilled about that! LOL!!!
Thank you sooooo much to everyone that came to celebrate and an even bigger thank you to Nicol, Lesley, and Madi for throwing the party…you guys are the best friends a girl could have!!!
